There are tons of things I like about Fallout Shelter. I adore the game and I hate the game. That often happens when something is done very well, but still quite not right. For a free2play game I can definitely recommend Fallout Shelter, it’s awesome. Especially after the 1.6 update last summer, which introduced all new mission system, making the game finally whole. I mostly play games with a strong narrative but now and then I feel like passing the time with a good strategy game, usually involving building and managing something. I really loved the settlement campaigns on Settlers IV Gold so when I noticed Banished, it seemed to be right up my alley: a medieval city builder without any enemy battles. I Want To See Your Weird Face – Freeware Horror

There are a lot of great or at least good freeware games out there. I try a few now and then. Putting together some of the latest titles I downloaded I noticed they’re mostly themed around horror. Then I found out that three out of the five or so games I was going to try out centered with another common theme: inhuman faces. So here we have Mr. Pig and a big bunch of sexy masks. Shelter

Shelter is a short and cute game about being a mother badger, taking care of her offspring. It’s a rather simple game but full of charm. And it can be surprisingly distressing at points. I played it with my kids and possibly ended up scarring them a bit (that age limit of 10 is not just for show, though all the violence in the game is nothing more than can be seen in nature documentaries).
